Comments associated with an individual's Sharp Cognition Assessment Test performance allows the examiner to:

- Analyze the relative performance of individuals compared to the average score of their peer group (same age, gender and educational level).

- Suggest performance improvement strategies (when possible).

For clarity purposes, all Sharp Cognition comments are preceded by a definition of the assessed cognitive ability with associations to daily professional situations.

Sharp Cognition Comment Examples:

In the attention area, Sharp Cognition™ "Profile" also evaluates the ability to concentrate.

Concentration groups categories such as accuracy, patience, attention to detail, etc., and can be described as the ability to ignore irrelevant information or a disturbing environment in order to concentrate all one's cognitive resources on an action or a thought.

This cognitive ability is therefore particularly challenged in such varied tasks as mental calculation or the management of multi-sensorial relationships (example: the link between vision and gesture for a tailor trying to get the thread through the eye of the needle).

Concentration abilities are also required in any situation where David has to ignore his immediate environment in order to focus his energy on a specific goal. Carrying out sophisticated operations (multiple analysis, surgery, or precision machining), possibly even under pressure (deadline to meet, crucial financial stake…), strongly requires the ability to focus.

David's abilities are satisfactory. They should enable him to safely process or combine multiple pieces of information. David can therefore properly organize the information to optimize a particular process.

However, to improve his effectiveness, David could make an effort on organization, by preparing his tasks in advance, by setting clear goals for all his actions, and keeping them top of mind… Important information should be also written down in order to improve and enhance his performance.

"Manager" and "High Potential" versions of this module are also available to assess and identify strong management potential.
